Colonial history, antique wooden furniture, open-air en-suite bathroom
The location presents a challenge as it's uphill and far from the Fort, requiring frequent tuktuk rides for accessibility!!! Parking options really need addressing since space feels cramped during peak times!!!

great atmosphere but minor noise issues
The stunning restoration of the house is truly impressive. I particularly loved the relaxing garden view, a peaceful oasis. The breakfast was carefully prepared, with standout items like the fresh turmeric and ginger "booster" drinks. The cozy dining area and comfortable sitting rooms offered fantastic spots to unwind.
The overall ambiance was slightly marred by occasional noise during peak times.

Couples seeking a romantic getaway should consider this
The atmosphere was tranquil, and we loved how the cocktails were unique, especially the artisan drinks crafted by the staff. One night, we enjoyed a quiet dinner where the chef personally came out to suggest the best local dishes, making it feel special.
It wasn’t inexpensive but considering the service and quality, it felt acceptable.

Exceptional Service and Delicious Food
We had an amazing time during our 4-night stay in the Junior Suite with Garden View. The staff were incredibly attentive, anticipating our needs without us having to ask—like bringing us water while we lounged by the pool. The food was outstanding, particularly the breakfast with fresh turmeric and ginger "booster" drinks that I really appreciated. One minor downside was the slightly noisy environment during peak times, but it didn't overshadow our overall experience.

The vibrant outdoor pool provided a refreshing escape from the humid climate, and the well-maintained gardens created a serene atmosphere. Breakfast featured the delightful home-baked Alentejo bread, which was a highlight of the meal. the somewhat inconvenient uphill location necessitated several tuk-tuk rides to reach the nearest attractions, and parking felt cramped at times, particularly during busy periods. The design of the room was charming yet felt slightly overshadowed by noise from neighboring guests.
